Ten-minute guide

First time paying
with crypto?

It is easier than it sounds: one account at an exchange, buy a coin, send it to the address we show you. Nothing to install, nothing technical, works from your phone.

  1. 1
Create an account at a major exchange — Coinbase, Kraken and Binance all work fine. The exchange will ask you to verify your identity, which can take anywhere from a few minutes to a day. That is between you and them; we never see any of it.
  2. 2
Buy Litecoin (LTC). It is the one this guide follows because every exchange sells it and it needs no network choice. Pay by card or bank transfer. Buy your order total plus about $10 headroom so network fees never leave you short.
  3. 3
Place your order here and pick LTC. Your order page shows an address and an exact amount — both with copy buttons, plus a QR code.
  4. 4
On the exchange, choose Withdraw / Send. Paste the address, enter the exact amount shown, and make sure the network says Litecoin. Double-check the first and last characters of the address before you confirm.
  5. 5
Done. Your order page watches the blockchain and updates itself — Litecoin usually confirms within a few minutes, and your code appears right there.
The only rule that matters: send the exact amount shown, in the coin you selected, on the network stated. Everything else forgives mistakes — this line is the one to read twice.

Prefer a dollar-stable coin? Pick USDT or USDC at checkout and buy exactly that one on the exchange — the same five steps, and the amount you see is the amount you send, with no price movement in between. What you pick here is what you have to send. Both are offered on several networks: pick the one your exchange withdraws on, and make sure it matches the network named at checkout and again next to the payment address.
